Filmic Pro－Video Camera App Reviews

I currently have iOS 10 on my phone I downloaded this app to record 3DS gameplay footage because I do know how to capture card for my 3DS so recording with my phone is a affordable alternative. I downloaded this app after watching another YouTuber recommend this app because this is what he uses to record his gameplay footage. After spending some time with the app my phone is overheated in the middle of a video causing the video to stop playing it rains to your battery life I cant save the video file to my camera roll and I cant send my videos via AirDrop because it keeps filling. The reason why I wanted to use this app was because I needed something to control the contrast and the Focus in my videos. In short I do not recommend this app I think it is absolutely horrible just because my phone overheats. When I say my phone overheats I had a pop up message on my phone that told me my phone was too hot. Not very happy with this app.

I have been bragging about Filmic as friends watch me record events. However, recently I tried to excitedly correct my white balance it got stuck 85% of the way there. I then tried to export to iMovie to edit and find that the app is frozen and destabilized my iPad. I then had to do a hard reset. Huge potential, but disappointing results.

i would love to leave a 5 star positive review of this app, but i cant get it to open after this last update. delete/reinstall was of no help either

Launches but shows nothing on screen?

Filmic pro allows me to control lighting and focus while it records! With proper work you can make a professional looking film. However, I would suggest buying an external mic. It is not filmic pros fault that the iphone or ipad mic is not so good.

My go to app for filming!!

For ease of use, I tend to prefer MoviePro. If youre a serious (or aspiring) cinematographer, this is the only app that gives you quality footage with all of the manual control and visual feedback you need without the cluttered interface and cumbersome workflows of some of the competition.

The best video camera app hands down. And the developers are continually improving and expanding this app, more than just about any app Ive ever seen. This app is all about having control over video. If there is such a thing as a "pro" iPhone/iPad video app, this is most definitely it.

Has lots of features that just arent available in the iOS built in video recorder, but it make the iPhone heat really hot pretty fast, and makes me afraid to use it for more than a few seconds or a minute or 2 at a time.

This app changed what people thought of iPhone video. I always get consistent compliments from the higher higher bitrate footage I shoot out of the app. Lots of controls. Presets! A little clunky at first but you get the hang of it.

There is simply nothing better to get the most out of video on iOS.

Its too bad really, all the great features overshadowed by slow response time when fine tuning the settings. It really needs to be more responsive, especially at this price point! Not fluid at all. Please update and make your customer base happy. Help us release the full potential of the iPhone 7 Plus. Please fix the bug that cuts the full screen camera view in half. It happens when I launch the app then rotate from portrait mode to landscape. iPhone 7 Plus, running latest iOS.

I have been using this app for a long time now and its always been my favorite, but Im having a problem with it on the iPhone 7 plus. When you Launch the app, landscape mode cuts the screen in half, also when Im taking video at 4K 100mbs nothing ever saves to my camera roll, even when I have it set so it does. Instead it goes to the filmic library where when I try to save it to the camera roll it says "error cant save to camera roll." I absolutely need this app, I use it almost every day. Could you please take this into account? Thanks

Words CANNOT express how awesome this app is. Im a pretty seasoned videographer and seeing this app in action with all of its functionality is AMAZING. I mean GoPro and DJI can learn a lot from his company and app. Or maybe DJI and GoPro just cater to consumers instead of Prosumers / Professionals. But man....the options that are available blow my mind ESPECIALLY that this app can pair itself to the DJI OSMO Mobile stabilizer....and what they have done with the OSMO Mobile joystick is GENIUS! This app paired with my OSMO Mobile and my iPhone 7 Plus is a unbeatable match made from the heavens above! I love you guys and thanks for creating such a Lyn outstanding tool that us professionals can use in the field.

I love this app but lately its been crashing constantly and it wont reopen. The worst part is that the last recorded video doesnt save upon crashing... Ive lost a few videos already. Please fix it...

I wasted hours on this. I hope you dont. I purchased and downloaded Filmic Pro. I have the latest iOS installed on my iPad. But when I tried to install it I got the error message, "The app was not installed on the ipad because it requires a newer version of ipad software" After a lot of wasted time I wound up writing to Filmic who said their software wont work on my iPad and I should go into the Apple Store to get a refund. Thats all. So, no warning in advance, and no help afterwards. So Filmic wont run on the iPad 2 and iPad 3. They wont warn you, so I am.

This a terrific piece of software that is feature-rich where the iPhone software isnt. I am impressed with all the tools, especially the focal point. That is spectacular for us amateur filmmakers. Filmic is Definitely a game changer!
