After buying this app I made 3 test videos, 30 seconds each. After attempting to stop the 3rd video at the 30 second mark the app crashed and did not save the video!!!! What a useless app! If it cant handle a 30 second video, how can I trust it at all? AVOID if you care about saving anything......
App has such solid ideas but doesnt always come thru. Definitely in desperate need of a update to make it solid. Its always crashing, should save your setting! Even the steady cam, seems to always turn on without command. Thank you for listening.
Solid update to a Blue-Ribbon, top-of-class film app.
Killer histograms! I dont actually know how to "read" these, lol, but they sure do look pretty.
Love the changes in the update. I am using the histograms in my shooting already. Not sure I like the idea of vertical video but it works well.
With 5.2. Amazing. Just amazing. This is the best video app ever made. Love it. Perfect. Apple Watch support is terrific. Buy this app. Youll have no regrets!
Only thing I can point out critically is that Id like to be able to still hide the controls when the preview is not active, can no longer do that with the new update... Other than that though, still great
Im loving all of the features on the new update so far. The only thing that is somewhat annoying is that when I save the recordings to my camera roll to preview them, I receive an error saying the format is unsupported and cannot be played back. Other than that, I love the new layout and features!
After FilmRiot recommended this app, I bought it and have been very happy with it.
"Big fan of the Apple Watch enhancement. Hopeful for a video preview on the watch." ---this was my previous review! Now they have a video on the watch! Nice
Awesome app.
I didnt know about FiLMiC Pro until I read an unrelated review. My iPad mini makes a fine video recorder. But, I needed a device to feed soundboard audio into the iPad. The Behringer UCA222 solved that problem. HOWEVER, a reviewer of the Behringer device recommended using FiLMiC Pro for video recording. He was right. FiLMiC Pro is far better than the onboard video app on my iPad. There are many adjustments available. It didnt solve all my issues completely - like recording in poor lighting for example. But, FiLMiC Pro allows me to compensate for that issue and many others much better than the onboard app. A+ for FiLMiC Pro.
I love this app but after videoing a project that is 40 minutes and 9Gb it keeps crashing and wont let me copy to my computer. I was able to save to my camera roll and then go back in filmic to trim it down and now it just crashes over and over. Ive tried syncing, rebooting, killing the app everything.
After a little frustration, it turns out that Apple made a change and 3K and 4K clips have issues in Photos and iMovie. They told me a fix is coming. Beyond this temporary issue, the app is great! My biggest favorites are: - Pull focus points - Save camera profiles - Frame rate and project rate settings (shoot at 240fps but play back at 24fps) - High bitrate. You can record 4K at 100mbps, while other apps are in the 30mbps range. Those are the features that others apps dont seem to have.
