New version not saving footage correctly. Still a great app.

Changing my review. A fix is coming for previous issues I had. Great app.

Green Lines With Letter Box

Been a great app for years but now when I use the Letter Box feature to change the video ratio to look more cinematic, I get green lines on left and bottom side of my videos. Using a IPhone 6S.

Green Lines in Letterbox!

I know its a temporary glitch, but its inhibiting, and renders shots unusable. Otherwise, fantastic app with immense flexibility!

Amazing

4K in 100mbps ? Amazing... Need to add Denoiser like the musemage app now thats amazing... Why cant apply color profile before shooting ??

Remains the best choice for film makers

Filmic Pro gets it right where it counts. Rock solid and reliable. Easy to setup and repeat shots. Its like the love child of an iPhone and a RED Camera

The single best video creation tool for mobile devices

I have bought and used most of the tools and without a doubt this is the best tool an experienced video creator can have for the mobile platform. What these folks have accomplished on a mobile platform is amazing.

Cool

But easy^^

Nice app but buggy

Simply awesome!

This is one of the greatest camera apps ever! Im a young film maker and this has helped me a lot. The result and quality was beyond my expectations. Expensive, yes but worth it!

Perfect Video App...Cannot believe I just found it

If you want an app to fine tune your video capture, this is the app for you. Seemingly endless variations of options yet quite simple to operate. This app is exceptional!!!

Such a headache

This app was an absolute headache to work with. It would constantly reset my settings between shots and sometimes I wouldnt notice and have to reshoot entire sequences. Waste of money, I could have used the default camera app instead.

Im having major issues!

With the Moondog Labs adapter, only desqueeze works properly when filming in 1080p. 2K & 3k squishes the image vertically making it like like everyone is 20 lbs heavier and a foot shorter. Also, presets are not saving properly (or at all). Please introduce 100mbps filming for the iPhone 6/6+. It can handle it.

Unusable

Drops frames every 3 seconds with anamorphic de-squeeze on. iPhone 6s. Waste of $$.

Look elsewhere

I purchased Filmic Pro to gain more control over the video camera in my iPhone 6s plus. I most notably wanted to control the white balance and focus. I read reviews and saw what controls Filmic Pro had to offer and went ahead and purchased the app. Over the past week Ive been playing with all the settings and must say the controls work as advertised, however theres a problem thats made this app unusable for me. When panning a scene the aperture is very slow to respond which leads to your scene either being way overexposed or underexposed. It seems that most of the time the exposure wont change until I place my finger on the exposure control, then it corrects itself. The other thing that annoyed me was file naming. I wanted to compare videos shot with the OE camera and Filmic, when you export to camera roll the file is renamed to a very random filename. Even consecutive files have completely different filenames. After having shot about 15 different videos on different settings I had no idea which was which. Why not retain the same filenames as displayed in Filmics built in viewer? The app sounded much better than it really is. I wish I had my $10 back!

Really good but not pro

This app is pretty amazing. I love the high bit rates and full manual controls, plus the ability to save preset configurations. The 4K on the iPhone 6s looks really really good. But if you want to use this as a professional tool, think twice. It freezes and crashes often and Ive seem to lost a clip or two. There seems to be some issues with saving files from iTunes too. I get error messages nearly every time I try to export more than a few clips at a time. I think the clips that are causing the errors might be conformed slomo clips. With all of these bugs, I cant recommend using it for a professional project. On the other hand, if youre out shooting just for fun, and you can live with laggy performance and the occasional corrupted file, this app delivers great footage when it works. I look forward to more stability updates.

Not worth $10! App Crashes!

A 10 dollar app that crashes when you export clips to the camera roll??!! Even crashes when cutting a clip. I want my 10 bucks back.

Terrible

Terrible... NOT worth the $10, definitely want my money back! Crashes, always resets fps after every take. Does not save to your phone correctly, I recorded many different shots and it said it was recording but was NOT! All that work and nothing to show for it! Want my money back. Use your own recording section that comes on your phone.

Bad frame rates

Ive used this through a few user interface changes and the basics of the app remain pretty good. The big problem is the app records nonstandard frame rates. Ex: It records anywhere from 24 fps to 24.03 fps without consistency. This creates a nightmare in editing. Audio gets unsynced in a timeline. And transcoding the files bakes in the audio sync problem. Any post production workflow gets seriously complicated because of this tick. Badly needs to be fixed.

Not ready for iPad Pro 9.7?

Couldnt get it to go any higher than 3K resolution on the new iPad. The new iPad is supposed to be 4K capable.
