Doesnt work on my iPad and maybe yours, too

I wasted hours on this. I hope you dont.
I purchased and downloaded Filmic Pro. I have the latest iOS installed on my iPad. But when I tried to install it I got the error message, "The app was not installed on the ipad because it requires a newer version of ipad software"
After a lot of wasted time I wound up writing to Filmic who said their software wont work on my iPad and I should go into the Apple Store to get a refund. Thats all. So, no warning in advance, and no help afterwards. So Filmic wont run on the iPad 2 and iPad 3. They wont warn you, so I am.
